God's Chosen And Holy Living

God's Chosen And Holy Living by Alisa Videos.

To be Chosen means you have been selected as the best out of other options. And without doubt, every Christian and follower of Christ wishes to be one of His chosen.
In this topic, a lot will be said about the ways we can get into the group of God's Chosen.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 1:4
"According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love".

Anchor Text: John 19:30, Jeremiah 15:19-21

As read in the Memory Verse (Ephesians 1:4), God expects us to be holy, and to be in the category of the chosen ones we must live a holy life. Any one God has chosen must satisfy certain expectations of the One that has chosen him or her (II Timothy 2:4). The first condition here is that the chosen ones must be holy and blameless in love. Holiness here refers to a state of total absence of sin. It also means a state of complete obedience to the One who has chosen us. In everything we do we must be holy, in our speech, in our thought, as holiness must rule our minds. Our behavior and conduct must be totally free from sin. We will have to select what we do and ensure that it glorifies the One who has chosen us. In addition, whatever we do must be enveloped in love. Our love for God and fellow man will be the motive for each action we take.

The Chosen must also be faithful as written in the Bible (Revelation 17:14): "These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of Lords and King of Kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen and faithful".
From the passage above, in order to be a chosen one, we must meet with three conditions: we must be called, chosen and faithful. That is where we must belong to remain in the group of God's chosen.

According to the Bible (I Chronicles 28:4), David made an interesting statement. Judah was chosen to rule. Judah means "Praise". God chose the one who would praise Him. The house of Jesse was chosen out of the Judah  tribe. Out of the house of  Jesse, David the great musician was chosen to praise God always. How often do we praise God? That is a question we should answer.
Similarly, the son of the chosen can also be chosen if he walks in the path of his father as written in Haggai 2:23. The Lord wants us to be close to Him like the signet ring with which He seals requests, that we will become His signature. What this means is that if we fail to agree to the plans proposed by God for our lives, it will have a slim chance of happening. There are great benefits of being a chosen one. Questions to answer are: "How close am I to Him?", "How faithful and diligent am I to the things that lead me to become a chosen?". We can become a part of God's chosen.

According to the Scripture (Matthew 7:6), "Give not that which is holy unto dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swines lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you".
God is holy and as a result demands His children and chosen to be holy before releasing spiritual gifts to them. There are reasons for this. First, those who operate the gifts of the Spirit are usually targets of the satanic kingdom. If they are not pure, they will be easy preys for the enemy. Also, God's gifts are precious and would only be given to those who are precious and pure to God. Another reason is to prevent the operator of the gifts from becoming a castaway at the end.
Let us all live a life like the Father, as it is written in Matthew 5:48, "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is perfect".

Holiness is the foundation to achieving God's favor and becoming His chosen. Being a Christian without holiness is a total waste of time and that status as a child of God can crumble at any point. If we get into the circle of the chosen, we automatically become God's mouthpiece and whatever we say happens. We must learn to live a sin-free life. Holiness and being a God's chosen is not a status for the rich or only the poor.
As read in Matthew 7:6, Dogs refer to fornicators, adulterers. If we cannot stay away sexual immoralities, we automatically disqualify from being God's chosen.
Swines refer to sinners and those who do abominable things, if we deliberately live in sin God's favor will be far from us.

In conclusion, God wants all of us to be His chosen. His plans for us are all in the Scripture.
